Our Mission
The mission of CNY
Pride is to serve the
Central New York
lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and
transgender (LGBT)
community and their
allies.
Our annual Pride
Parade and Festival,
along with similar
events throughout the
year, provides a forum
to celebrate and
affirm individual
sexual and gender
identity, to
commemorate our
community's rich
history and diversity,
and to renew our
dedication to ending
intolerance and
achieving equal
rights.

CNY Pride's board meetings are on the
first Wednesday of every month, unless
otherwise posted, and are op
en to the general public.
If you have something specific you
would like to propose to the board
(events, fundraisers, etc.), please
email info (@) cnypride com 24 hours
before the meeting you wish to present
at.
CNY PRIDE is a dedicated, all-volunteer,
non-profit organization that proudly
champions equality, inclusion, and
empowerment for the LGBTQ+ community and
its allies throughout the Syracuse and
greater Central New York region. Founded
in 1996, this grassroots movement has
grown into a powerful platform for LGBTQ
visibility and solidarity, offering a
vibrant array of inclusive events,
educational initiatives, and cultural
celebrations that welcome individuals of
every sexual orientation, gender
identity, and expression.
From Pride parades and family-friendly
festivals to workshops and community
outreach, CNY Pride continuously strives
to cultivate safe, affirming spaces
where LGBTQ individuals — including
lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,
non-binary, and queer people — can
thrive, connect, and be celebrated for
who they truly are. The mission goes
beyond celebration: it’s about
advocating for LGBTQ rights, promoting
mental health, and amplifying voices
that have historically been
marginalized.
With every donation and volunteer hour,
CNY Pride strengthens the LGBTQ presence
in Central New York, ensuring that
future generations grow up in a world
where love is love and equality is the
standard. Whether you're part of the
LGBTQIA+ spectrum or a proud ally, your
support helps build a more inclusive,
joyful, and equitable community for all.

Please be advised that the door is
locked throughout the meeting so ring
the bell at the back door of the
church, located in the parking lot,
and someone will let you in
shortly.
